hello hello! this is a list of mo dao zu shi/the untamed fics that are complete AUs and can be read with no canon knowledge! i've marked one which i thought had serious spoilers for the canon plot, in case you're planning on consuming it somehow and want to avoid those (although there's one or two spoilers which are largely unavoidable but i can give my honest testimonial that, having been spoiled for a few major things before EYE watched the untamed, it did not diminish my enjoyment at all :D ). if your favorite fic is not on this list, feel free to drop some more links in the comments! i left some out because i felt they were too close to canon, and i also left off some that i arbitrarily felt like i'd seen recced a lot of other places.
